Mary Reid born about 1814 in Stvenston married John Reid born about 1810 in Stevenston. They were married Nov. 20, 1835 in Stevenston, Scotland. They had Janet who married James Lauchlan; Charles who married Mary Cartwirght; Matthew; Mary. Charles Reid meigrated to Canada in 1862 and married Mary on June 12, 1865. She was the daughter of Peter Cartwright. Mary had previously been married to William Burrows. Charles Reid and Mary had three daughters (my line). They were Janet Reid married to Robert Lauchlan son of James and Janet (Reid--they were cousins Lauchlan; Ann Reid married to Thomas Nevin and my grandmother Charlotte Reid. I might add that Robert Lauchlan who married Janet Reid was the son of James and Janet Reid Lauchlan of Scotland. I do know that members of the Brown family lived later on in the Glasgow area of Scotland and one of them was the head of the station there. I am looking for any descendants. Any relatives out there?
