Trying to find information on Margaret Reid nee Robertson or Robert Reid who were married December 1891 at Tarbolton

There were quite a few Reids in Tarbolton, I've had a look at the memorial inscriptions but haven't noticed a Robert Reid. Reid is in my family but not Robertson

Agnes thank you for your reply. Margaret Reid(nee Robertson) was my great grandmother and married to Robert Reid, coal miner. They had several children, one my grandmother was Margaret Robertson Reid born 27/1/1907 at Drumley Tarbolton.Does this mean anything?

I have a Jane Reid that had a daugther Jane Robertson Reid but was not married I am told. Jane Robertson Reid was born
on Bailey Lane in Bathgate, Linlithgow. March 30th 1892, and get this at 4:00pm! Also Jane Reid the mother had another child out of wedlock name was Rita. I also have been told she died at 54 yrs old. One thing is for sure I always seem to find out more things, but at the same time there is always a twist in there somewhere!

Sorry Margaret, it was Jane Reid the mother that died at 54 yrs.old. And I do not know if she ever married Ritas father or not, but these two girls had 9 half brothers and sisters. Jean got married to a Thomas Meek and they went to Canada and brought with them 4 of Jeans siblings. That was in 1926. Rita stayed behind with the others. In 1948 Rita got all but one together and sent them over to Canada too. But again Rita stay there with her sister Molly {Polly}. Molly was one year younger then Rita. I know that the 8 or 9 of the last childrens names were Doonan

Sheri, I have a David Reid married to Jane Frew 1855 living in the Parish of Stair, County of Ayr. His father was John Reid. David and Jane had a son called Robert born abt 1867. Not sure if this is of any help.

I have been told that Robert runs through the family line and would like to know if you would have a James Reid. my James Reid b.19 Dec 1852 Glasgow,Lanarkshire,Sc d.24 Mar 1892 and m.16 Feb 1871Caldercruiks,Sc. to Jane Shearer Taylor b.15 Mar 1847. they had 14 children, one being Robert. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

I do have a James Reid but born 1872 or a James Murdock Reid born 1863. Their parents were David and Janet Reid the children were born at Stair Ayr
