Surnames: Logan,Storie, Alexander, Ballentyne, Davies, Fife,Allan from Kilbirnie and Lochwinnoch
We too have Hugh and John Alexander's on our family tree. I have records of one John Alexander B. 12/16/1760 in Girvan, Ayrshire. His father was Hugh. I have found no trace of Hugh's wife. John immigrated to NY State, married Ruth Holmes and had a son Hugh b. 5/6/1793 in Galway, NY. Could your Hugh possibly be a brother of my John?
