Do you happen to know the names of your Michael's parents in Ireland, and where or what year he may have been born?

I am researching my father's family in Co. Antrim, in the area of Culfeigtrin RC parish, just outside Ballycastle, in the area of the Glens. My paternal grandfather, CHARLES McKIERNAN, was born in 1847. He married married MARY McALLISTER..
Charles parents were HENRY McKERNAN/McKIERNAN and
SARAH McCAIGUE/McCAUGE. This Henry McKERNAN/McKIERNAN appears in the Tithe Applotment records in the year 1831. Since I don't know all of my paternal grandfather's siblings, I am wondering if your Michael may somehow be connected to my family.

According to what my father told me many years ago, the family often went back and forth to Scotland. Based on what I have learned since researching, this appears to be because of seasonal work. Some family did stay in Scotland as I did find a descendant of my grandfather Charles' sister, MARY McKERNAN/McKIERNAN FERGUSON, living in Glasgow. This Mary is estimated to have been born around 1840.

If you think there may be a connection, please contact me.
