Mary Dearie, born Ireland, daughter of Bernard and Mary Dearie, married Roland Hanna(h, born Co. Down, Ireland, in Beith, Ayrshire in 1852. Are their any relatives of this family still in the area or elsewhere?

My father (Frank Dearie) was interested in looking up our heritage. Apparantly our family is originally from Ayrshire. My grandparents May and Francis Dearie raised their 3 sons (Thomas,Alan, and Frank) near the shipyards in Glasgow, before moving to Toronto in the 1950's. Not sure if you've got any information that would help, Or if we're related in any way.

Thank you for replying to my query re the Dearie family. It is good to hear from anyone who can link this family to Ayrshire. Most of my information relates to the 1850s while yours is in the 1900s. Would you like to give me information on your grandparents so that we can see if there are any links?

hi im patrick mcgowan my gg grandmother was a dearie she was married to patrick mcgowan and they moved to lanarkshire about 1850 as her last son born in ireland was born 1849, they went to old monkland were patrick worked in the mines he died in a mining acc. in 1857 and she died in 186 at this time they had about 7 are 8 children, if you know anything about this family would you please let me know , im trying to find were they were born in ireland, i know most about the scotland were they lived and were they married

hi sorry for anoying you again, it was my gg grandmother and her name was margaret dearie, i have her death cert. here she died in buchanen st. baillieston, its a bit hard to read but her father was it looks like kenny dearie but cant make out a few letters in that first name and he was a farmer, his wife was called mary dearie nee golivan i think thats it, margaret son william was the house were death accured she died of gastric fever and she died in february 1862 ,
