William and Ann were married 08/13/1831. Ann was the daughter of Robert Weir and Margaret McKinlay. I have more information on the Weir family if you are interested

I have a birthdate of Nov. 22, 1835 for James, but am thinking that we are talking about the same James. I know that my James was married to Mary Scott and their daughter's name was Anna Weir Gibson. She married Henry Hercules Switzer and they were my great grandparents. (They also had a son, William Gibson)

Any further information on the Wier family that you could give me would be greatly appreciated. I could give you information on James Gibson's descendants if you would like it. I have a picture of Henry and Anna Weir Gibson Switzer and family as well.

I have a Marion Weir but she was born about 1801 and married John Thomson March 10, 1837. She was one of 5 daughters born to Robert and Ann McKindlay Weir. Her sisters were Lilliam (born abt 1808), Margaret (born abt. 1808) married David Heron, Ann (born 8/23/1812) married to William Gibson and mother of my gg grandfather James Gibson) and Agnes born abt. 1815 married to Thomas Gibson
