I am up dating my listing from about a year ago and for the new listers
who have joined since last year.

My great great grandfather(William ORR) was a farm labourer from Scotland.
He married Martha Johnston and their children was William ORR my great
grandfather.He was born in 1852.

My great grandfather William ORR married Jane Kennedy on October 06 1871
in Kilbarchan Renfrew Scotland. Jane was born in 1853. Parents of Jane
KENNEDY were Thomas Kennedy(Foundry Labourer) and Rebecca KEER or KEIR.

2. Margaret ORR-b-1874
3. William ORR-b-1878 (my grandfather)
4. Thomas Kennedy ORR-b-June 24 1879 Blackstown, Scotland.
5. Isabelle ORR-b-unknown
6. Jean ORR-b-unknown.

William ORR second marriage was to Bella HAMILTON in 1890. Children of
William ORR & Bella HAMILTON:
1. Elizabeth ORR
2. Martha ORR
3. Letitia ORR
4. John ORR

William ORR (my grandfather) married Marion GORDON and raised the following
children:
1. Jane ORR-b-January 14, 1904 Scotland
2. Marion Smith ORR-b-January 14, 1904 Scotland
3. Mary Gordon ORR-b-December 27, 1905 Scotland
4. James Gordon ORR(my father)-b-October 12 1907 Nova Scotia
5. Thomas Kennedy ORR-b-May 27, 1909 Nova Scotia
6. Robert Gordon ORR-b-June 11, 1912 Nova Scotia
7. Rebecca ORR-b-unknown Nova Scotia

My grandparents imigrated to Inverness, Cape Breton Nova Scotia in 1907
and later settled in Joggins Nova Scotia.

Thomas Kennedy ORR (brother of my grandfather William ORR) married first
wife Mary Stewart PEBBLES March 01 1901 in Linwood Manse Paisley Scotland.
No known children. Second marriage was to Margaret CRAWFORD on April 06
1906. Place unknown. They imigrated to Akron Ohio, date unknown.

1. Mary McGeoch ORR-b-January 28 1907 Inverness Cape Breton Nova Scotia.
2. Jeannie Kennedy ORR-b-MArch 17 1908, Paisley Scotland.
3. Sarah CRAWFORD ORR-b-February 25 1910, Rosefarm Ohio USA.
4. William ORR-b-August 14 1911 Rosefarm Ohio USA.
5. James CRAWFORD ORR-b-June 14 1913 Rosefarm Ohio USA.
6. Rebecca ORR-b-October 12 1914 Rosefarm Ohio USA.

I come down the line of Melvilles. Do you have any info of a Orr female marrying into the Melville family of Roebank, Beith, Ayrshire.

I know it's a long shot. But the name Orr comes up so regularly as a middle name, and I don't know where and when it originated.

Ay info would be greatly received.
