Don't know - yet - if there is a connection. My grandfather Arthur McCredie was born Dec. 17, 1890 in (I think Wigtonshire) Scotland. He moved to Pittsburgh, PA in the US, in the 1910s. He lived with his sister Margaret McCredie Harrison in Pittsburgh, PA until he married Pearl Margaret Moss.

Can you tell me your family lineage up to the late 1800s. I'm dying to find a connection! Thanks :) B. Mellinger

My husbands family originated in Old Luce Wigtown in the 1700's. Have got back as far as John McCredie who married Jean Templeton in the late 1740's. Maybe a connection?

My grandfather was Arthur McCredie, from Wigton, Scotland. Came to Pittsburgh, PA in the early 1900s.

I would LOVE to connect with other McCredies from the area or who have relatives fromt southwest Scotland.

Please reply

Hello Gordon. My husbands family also came from Girvan but the name had changed to Mc Creadie by that time. Probably no connection though
