I am researching the CUNNINGHAM, BROWN, and eventually, the STEELE families of Ayrshire, Scotland.

On September 2, 1826 Joseph CUNNINGHAM married Janet STEELE in Dalry, Ayrshire, Scotland according to LDS microfilms of Scottish parish registers. Also in these records are the baptism of one of their daughters Mary Jane CUNNINGHAM (b. June 1842 in Dalry). Mary married John X. BROWN ON March 01, 1861 in Dalry.

My 2nd great grandparents, John X. Brown and Mary (CUNNINGHAM) Brown immigrated to the US about 1870 with their daughter Marion (b. June 2, 1861). They settled in PA and died in Johnsonburg, Elk County, PA. I don't know what happened to Joseph and Janet (STEELE) CUNNINGHAM. Would anyone have any knowledge of any of these families?

I am the granddaughter of Ruth Naomi (Brown) Yates, who was daughter of Margaret F (Brown) Brown & John M Brown. Margaret was daughter of Mary (Cunningham) Brown & John X Brown & sister to Marion, Maude, Jean, Mary, James R, etc. I have some info you don't have on your site & recently received a box of pictures left by an aunt who died last year. Among them was a picture of Mary (Cunningham) Brown & 29 relatives taken about 1914-1915, I think. Maybe you could help me identify the ones I am not sure of.
