There doesnt seem to be birth registrations for their first three children,

John Mcnab, about 1831,
Daniel Mcnab, about 1833,

At this time 1881. Archibald Mcnab, is living at Burnhead, Dalserf, Lanark, as a Widower.

There is a birth for a Archibald Mcnab, 30/Aug/1810. Glenorchy, and Inishail, Argyll, to parents John Mcnab, and a Margaret Macdermid. This looks like a possible for your Archibald, to verify this you would need to get his death certificate which should give his parents names, provided who registered his death knew who his parents were.

We have been looking for Daniels birth registration for a very long time and you have confirmed the answer for us, that we will probably never have the birth registration details,unless we can find the church he was baptised in.
The other information is correct as we know it.
