Works. I did an inquery quite a while ago about the above subject. Good to know that I'm not the only person inquiring or mentioning of it.
My Brooks
Sewing Cotton box is a round small one with Mucross
Abbey on the cover. Underneath the cover is the picture of the sewing factory. On the bottom of the sewing box is a picture of a rather happy goat. My mother gave it to me just before she had passed away.
I'm trying to find more information about it as my mother's mom's sister Mabel married a Thomas
Brooks and always had wondered if there's a connection. I understand that these boxes were given out as preimiums in the older days. And, yes the box is over 100 years old. There were a number of varities made and given out in
Scotland, Ireland, and perhaps
