Australian seeking help with possible Ayrshire connection

I wonder if some kind soul could help me. My great-grandmother, Sarah Gilbert, died on 9-12-1944. I searched for her death certificate through the English records and could find no trace of her for the last quarter of 1944 up to middle of 1945. One of my family members has now told me that she thought that my great grandmother had moved from the East End of London to Ayrshire during the war and that's where she died. Would anyone be able to help me identify whether she did indeed die in Scotland and where I can locate her death certificate ?

I had a spare credit and checked http://www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk and she is there if a surname associated with her is Kibbel (maiden name, previous married name, mother's maiden name). Register and for a small fee you can download the death certificate in two shakes of a lamb's tail. FM

If she died in Scotland you should be able to find her death certificate on Scotlandspeople.gov.uk It's a fee paying site (but it will be cheaper than paying for one English cert) and if you find the certificate it should give you her parents names too (including her mother's maiden name) - provided the informant knew it of course.
