Wish to locate information on family of Robert James HINDS.Wife Elizabeth Mullen. 19 children. 17 were girls. Family lived in Irvine Mill when son Edward Calderwood HINDS was born 1904. Edward Calderwood Hinds b1904 was the son of Edward Calderood Hinds b 1859 and Elizabeth Mullen. Edward Snr changed his name to Robert Hinds around 1859. He was the son of Isaac Hinds and Margaret Stewart Calderwood.

Robert was married twice - first wife was Elizabeth and second was Martha Heyburn. I hold all BMDs to support the above.

Robert was an engine keeper in 1901 and lived at 39 Montgomery Street, Dundonald

Robert is my 1c4r. What is your relationship, please? I have a long back line for the Calderwoods and Hinds.

Re Edward Calderwood Hinds b 1904 was my father in law. I have children who wonder about their heritage. I live in Ontario Canada. How can I obtain your very interesting material on the Hinds and Calderwood families? I know how much time goes into such research. Edward b 1904 served in both the British Army and WW2 in Canadian Navy. None of us know much about his origin.
