In trying to trace my father -in-laws family , which is a bit of a mystery . I have found that his mother was Annie McFie married ? George Buchanan in early 1900`s . They parted ways and she raised John George Buchanan, in the Govan area of Glasgow who later changed his surname by deed pole to McFie and lived in Aberfoyle area. Any info or connection ?

The only Buchanan name that I find in my list of name is Jane who married David Johnstone in 1700 something.

In all the McFie or Macfie lines that I have managed not to trace completely I only get down to about 1850 afte that I have nothing to work with so you providing infor for 1900 is a bit too late for me to help because I cannot get that far down sorry
