I have a letter to Mrs. Anne McColl, TORLAGAN, Lismore, from Hugh McColl, Esquesing, Ontario, written on behalf of his father, John McColl. There is mention of Hugh's mother (no name), and his brothers Angus ('Minister of the Free Church of Scotland ... 120 miles from this'), Duncan ('lives with father'), and their sister, Mary, married to James Lindsay.

Anne McColl may well be my great-great-grandmother through her son, Dougal, Glasgow, but I still have to check with the Registers of Scotland.
