Hello all!

I have hit a wall in my research and would appreciate any advice you could give me. My GGGGGrandfather is Colin Kennedy. He married a Margaret McNiven (b. 1806 Killarrow) on 10 Feb 1824 in Bowmore/Killarrow. They had the following children;
1) Margaret c. 7 Mar 1825 who married Duncan Ferguson,
2) Angus c. 22 Sep 1827 who married Margaret McGillivray (my line)
3) Robert Kennedy b. 27 Jul 1829 who married Margaret Kennedy
4) John Kennedy b. 16 May 1832 who married Mary McMillan
5) Janet Kennedy b. 12 Jun 1834 who married John Campbell
6) Lachlan Kennedy b. 14 Jan 1837 (may have been lost at sea in 1872 coming over to Canada)
7) Malcolm Kennedy b. 3 Dec 1840
8) Sarah Kennedy b. 7 Apr 1843 married Duncan McIntyre and,
9) Alexander Kennedy b. 12 Aug 1846 (may have been lost at sea in 1872 coming over to Canada).

All children were born and married on Islay.

If any of these names show up in your family tree I would be pleased to correspond/exchange information. If anyone has suggestions as to finding Colin's birth registration/parent's I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

I have a Donald McNiven (b. 19/4/1812) who married Catherine McGilvray (b. 1814) on 2/12/1834 in Bowmore, Islay.

All of my McNiven family are from Islay. Does the above have any connection with your family?
