Hello, John, I am wondering how you fit into this family. I am delighted you posted Peter McPhee's obit. Was he the father of John Alexander McPhee who with his family lived in Alpena for many yrs and had Livery stables with his partner, a man named Leavitt? Peter's widow, Orinda, lived with them in 1897/98 and she died on April 6, 1907, six months before Peter died. Now I see she was 85 and Peter was 83 so John Alexander and Peter must have been brothers. Were they that you know? They must have been close relations because she lived with John's family. The McPhees are related to my late husband and sons. John Alexander's daughter Susan McPhee by his first wife Martha Oliver married John William Langworthy. They are the parents of my late mother-in-law Martha Caroline Langworthy/Mount. Now I hope I have all that correct. It is off the top of my head. Please keep me in mind when you research this line.
