None of these have come up in the searches. The only success was the 1901 census. The American family used only one 't' but they had all the information on both brothers in the States. USGA records also place them at the locations the family have but with two 't's. Catherine was born in South America but is British. You have given me quite a bit of help - thank you. I spoke to a 79 year old Dave Dalgety in Carnoustie, not the same family but he had done his research and Dalgetty or Dalgety is a very common name in Forfarshire. Many thanks again - Brian
