ELRICK, Christian, b about 1805, Scotland; in 1825 she married James McCraw (b 1802 at St Cyrus). (Descendants spell the surname McRae).

Their daughter Mary Ann McCraw / McRAE, b New Deer, ABD, SCT; 7 Feb 1830. (? married) William Stephen.

Mary Ann & William’s son James Stephen was born 3 May 1851 at New Deer, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. James emigrated to New Zealand in 1869 to join his mother’s brother, Thomas Elrick McRae. About 1870 Mary Ann, then married to a Henderson, also emigrated.
