My ancestor, Alexander Gordon, was born ca.1630 in Scotland, captured at the Battle of Worcester in 1651, and sent to America as an indentured servant in 1652. He died in Exeter, New Hampshire, USA in 1697. Whyte's 'Scottish Emigrants' says Alexander was 'possibly from Morayshire'. I exchanged information once with a Milne who said that Alexander Gordon was the son of Thomas Gordon and Margaret Milne and was born in Aberdeen in 1635. I've since lost contact with that person, and cannot ask her about her source. Any help in finding Alexander's parents and family in Scotland would be warmly welcomed.
