I have a Jane Whyte/White b abt 1834 who married in Australia to Joshua Smith. On her marriage certificate she gave her parents as Jane/Jannet Glennie and William Whyte. She gave her place of birth as Penicuik and her fathers occ as gardener. There is an entry for a couple of this name who married in Aberdour in 1828 and who had three children in New Deer. William b 1828, George b 1831 and Mary b 1833. I have not been able to conect my Jane with this couple but hope that they just never registered her birth. Can anyone help me. Cheers. Pat Rawlings
