I am looking for information in my maternal line. My Grandmother was Isabella Jane Maitland and I have James Percival Maitland (1866-1943) m. Isabella Cowie (1865-1920) as her parents but, anything beyond that I'm just not sure. I think James parents are James Maitland & Isabella Clark. And George Cowie and yet another Isabella as parents of Isabella Cowie. I believe all are from Peterhead maybe New Deer. But so many of them have the same names my head is spinning. It doesn't help much that a lot of the births seem to have preceded the marriages
