My great great grandfather was Alexander Beaton of Culsamond, Aberdeenshire, born 1819. He was a crofter/forrester and married Agnes Watt. He had a daughter named Mary Beaton who moved to Crossgar, Ireland and married Bernard James Kearney (a shoemaker). She died in 1947.
