Francis Gray Stuart married George Robertson B/1886. They went to USA. lived and died there.
Francis was born in 1887 Aberdeen.... Can anyone give me information on her birth....and/or.. marriage to George Robertson B/1885 Dundee, 2nd Son of Edward B/1853? Robertson, and Mary (nee Paterson).
They adopted twin daughters...her sister's who died in childbirth and the father could not look after them.
These children were Mary and Francis Mc ????B/1924 ?
I would appreciate any info on them as well. If there is anyone who can help. It would be much appreciated.

cannot find anything on Frances but, if you obtain a copy of their marriage, it should show her parents etc

I cannot find a marriage for them nor a birth for her, although I have death for them both from USA where they lived most of their lives and died. (No children of the marriage only adopted twin girls of Frances's (full anme is Frances Gray Stuart)sister, McCullock who died, which are no use as informants)
There is nothing on her death Cert that I can find that would give a clue. Only that they were married in 1913 April 1st (No Joke !!) where ???
Frances came from Dundee area. The same area as where George was born
He is my Uncle (deceased both of them!)
On your list, for which I thank you - but I already have.
The Alford should be ALFRED - is/was my Father who died when I was 7.
If only I had asked Mother (when I was 18!) so now I am trying to place all the pieces together, and very much a novice at it as well at 75 !!
Any help with these ones would be VERY welcome.

George was a Marine Engineer. I am not sure when he went to USA but think it was 1909 or 10 or there abouts.
He was Naturalised in March 1917
The 1914 possibly would be when they returned perhaps after visiting family in Scotland.
The girls Mary and Frances McCulloch were born in 1924 in Scotland. I have no idea where or of their parents.

That is her 'middle name' She WAS FRANCES GRAY STUART

I don't know if they married in Scotland or USA....I tend to think that they married in USA.... But that's only a feeling !
I had a look on Scotland'sPeople but could not find anything on them. But being a novice at this I probably didn't look in the right place !!
