Do you have Ellen's last name, I suppose you don't or you would have given it. I have seen many a baptism in the Church of Ireland, Parish registers with no father named, but I don't think that is possible for the Civil Registrations (after 1864). I notice most of the children do not have baptism records on the Heritage Foundation. It is possible they were born in the UK or baptised in Dublin.
Humewood Castle was built as a summer retreat. Most of the
Gentry had homes in Dublin as well.
(Brian)Cantwell Memorial Inscriptions a project from 1985 of all readable gravestones and inscriptions.
There are 5 HUME-DICK inscriptions at the Kiltegan Church of Ireland. I'm not going to type them out unless you want them. Children are named, also brothers and sisters included. Also a note that the burials in some cases are at the family vault at Mount Jerome Cemetery, Dublin.
This is an inscription from the Knockanarrigan, Church of Ireland
1889 Dedication on granite slab over entrance to the church.
Erected 1889 by Fitzwilliam Hume-Dick Esq. Humewood
1852-1886.
There are some Dublin inscriptions but not from the above named cemetary. There is a mention in the Kiltegan CofI of
a devoted friend Bertha Leonhardt.
