Daniel Kavanagh (parents James Kavanagh & Mary Burns/Byrnes) married Margaret Murphy (parents Michael Murphy & Julia unknown) in "Glendalough Catholic Church" circa 1834. Both were aged 27 years.

Known children of Daniel and Margaret were James and Michael (twins, born c.1838), Thomas (c.1841), Patrick (c.1843), Mary and Julia (possible twins, c.1847), Daniel (c.1848) and Margaret (c.1851).

Daniel, Margaret and their children migrated to Australia in 1858 and settled in the Maitland area of NSW.

Mary died aged 1868 from epilepsy - her Death Certificate states that she was born in Coolbeg (father Daniel was the informant). The Griffiths Valuation Index lists a Daniel Kavanagh at Coolbeg.
