Surnames: Thomson, Thompson, Piper

George Thom(p)son,Sergeant in I.O.W. Militia was transferred to Waterford Barracks in 1883. Wife's maiden name was Amelia Piper ; it is thought she may have been from the Waterford area. Any information would be appreciated.Thankyou.
