Dear Maureen,as you can see I am a Bransfield. My grandfather was in fact Daig(Deaglan) from Aglish. He came as an apprentice carpenter to Lismore and ended up marrying one of the daughters (Alice O Brien)from the O Brien &Sons business where he had his apprenticeship. They went on to have six children, two of whom are still alive and living in lismore. My father was Michael but he is unfortunately dead.
nice to see the names up. will talk to my aunt Mary Bransfield who was Daig's only daughter and tell her about you.
