I am trying to piece together some information that is slowly driving me crazy. I am looking for any descendants of this line, some maps, or perhaps guidance to a knowledgeable historian of the area.

This is my 3x great grandfather, Michael Cavanagh. I suspect he never left Ireland, but his son, James (my 2x great grandfather) went to Scranton, Pennsylvania, USA and slowly brought over all of his siblings.

1. Michael CAVANAGH
sp: Bridget CAWLEY (m.29 Oct 1837)
|-2. Mary CAVANAGH (a.1 Sep 1839-Kilglass Parish,County Sligo,Ireland)
Residence: Rathclo??ny
Sponsors: Michael Sheridan, Mary Cavanagh
Father's first name not readable on record, but think Mary belongs to this family.
Likely died young as has sibling of same name.
|-2. James CAVANAGH (a.4 Jun 1842-Kilglass Parish,County Sligo,Ireland)
Ireland, Sligo County, Kilglass Parish
Baptismal Sponsors: Bryan Cawly, Mary Finigan
Residence: Cav Town (likely Cavanagh's Town)
|-2. Mary CAVANAGH (a.5 Feb 1846-Kilglass Parish,County Sligo,Ireland)
|-2. Honor CAVANAGH (a.1 Dec 1850-Kilglass Parish,County Sligo,Ireland)
|-2. Catharine CAVANAGH (a.15 May 1852-Kilglass Parish,County Sligo,Ireland)
|-2. Patrick CAVANAGH (a.17 Nov 1854-Kilglass Parish,County Sligo,Ireland)
+-2. Twins CAVANAGH (a.12 Dec 1858-Kilglass Parish,County Sligo,Ireland)
Ireland, Sligo County, Kilglass Parish
Baptismal Sponsors: Thomas McGuire, Briget Cavanagh
Residence: C Town (Cavanagh's Town)
Twins: Anna and Cecelia

In looking through the tithe info from Kilglass in 1834, I found many Cavanaghs, but these 3 stood out as likely being related:

Kilglass Culleens A118 Cavanagh, Charles
Kilglass Culleens A118 Cavanagh, Mathew
Kilglass Culleens A118 Cavanagh, Michael

I feel that the above Michael is likely my 3X great grandfather. Given he is sharing land with Mathew and Charles, it is likely they are siblings and/or Michael's father. Most of the land numbers did NOT start with an A, as in A118. Most (but not all) of the ones that did were in Culleens. In many of the baptismal records, Michael's children were born in Cavanagh's Town. Other people, who I believe are family, have different places of Culleens and Cavanagh's Town (sometimes denoted as C Town or Cav Town) for places where their children were born. Where is Cavanagh's Town? Culleens appears to be quite small on the map. Could the A of A118 denote a subcategory of Cavanagh's Town within Culleens? Does anybody know if there is a map (seems like I've seen them before, but unable to locate now) of Culleens for the Tithe?

Any help is greatly appreciated!
