I am a relative of the Bruen family in Sligo, Ireland.

However, I do not know that name. I do know that most/many of the Bruens are related to each other there. My great-grandfather was John Bruen (born 1855) of Drumcliffe. He owned a bakery with his brother in Sligo before he moved to the USA. His father was also John Bruen (born around the 1820s-1830s).
