I am interested in a McGowan family who lived in Templehouse,Ballymote from 1912 to 1940.John(Jack) McGowan worked on the Perceval Estate in Templehouse,Ballymote. His wife's name was Sarah. Jack and Sarah came from Lissadel (Maugherow) where Jack had worked on the Gore-Booth Lissadell estate. When they died they were buried in Carrigans Cemetery in Maugherow. Ancestry has a ships passenger list for 1925 of a John McGowan (father Jack McGowan) and a Mary Ellen Lynch (father John Lynch) both from Templehouse,Ballymote travelling to New York.
