I don't know whether this is any help but Garavoguen in sligo I used to visit when I was younger as my mum was brought up there.She is Margaret (Peggy) Brett nee Moran, her mother I think was called kate and her father john, but it's confusing as it would have been john not kate whose originalname was moran.My mum was one of 8 children - Betty, the youngest, Kathleen, the oldest, May who went to live in holland, sean, larry, jerry & jimmy. Betty and jerry stilllive in garavogue, sligo in their parents old house. It'd be good to see if any of this information rings a bell.
