This is my part of the Dunleavys of Avoca story:
Helen Marie McDonnell's husband, Anthony Joseph Dunleavy (1900-1969) was the son of Edward Dunlavy/Dunleavy/Dunlavey (sorry for all the alternative spellings) and Mary Catherine/Katie Kelly.
Edward was from Pontefract, Yorkshire, England. He emigrated to Hoboken, NJ with his brother Christopher (my great grandfather) and his sister Sarah in April 1883. Edward married Mary Catherine Kelly in 1888 in Hoboken, NJ and moved to Avoca shortly thereafter.
His father, Anthony Dunlavy was born in either County Mayo or County Sligo in 1831 but emigrated to the north of England after The Hunger. Anthony Dunlavy married Margaret Quinlan in Pontefract in mid-1850s.
