I've been researching vital records on rootsireland.ie, specifically in Boyle Civil parish and I've come across an address/townland that I can't place on the map: Townalaura. I've seen it on 19th century baptismal records, spelled Townalaura, Townylaura, and Townlaura. When I find the corresponding civil birth record for that person, their address is frequently listed as Sheegorey/Sheegora instead of Townalaura. When I do a Google search for Townalaura, it pops up in obituaries, e.g. "originally from Townlaura" but nowhere else that I can find.
Can anybody tell me if this placename is interchangeable with Sheegorey, or is perhaps a sub-townland of Sheegorey?
