There was a Brigid Coleman who was born in 1898 in Tawnytaskin, Boyle, Roscommon to John J. Coleman and Katie Kevil. She became a teacher and her husband was John A. (Sean) Barnes. He was also a teacher. Their daughter Kathleen who was born in 1927 in Ballymote where her father and mother (I think) were teachers. Kathleen married a Plunkett. Sean Barnes was born ABT 1887 • Carrowcrory, Co. Sligo, Ireland. Eamon Barnes, the youngest son of Sean and Brigid, died last November, 2017. He was a retired Director of Public Prosecutions. https://www.independent.ie/regionals/sligochampion/news/pres... There were many McGarrys in that area of Boyle and I was told by a niece of Brigid Coleman Barnes that one of them married a sister of my great grandmother but I have never found any evidence of that so far. All of these Colemans are descended from a Robert Coleman and Catherine Maxwell who lived at Tawntaskin, Boyle, Roscommon. Many are buried at Estersnow Cemetery. I am in touch with two of Brigid Barnes' brother's children. They may know more if you think this might be who you are looking for. This may be a member of that Plunkett family as I see a member of my Coleman family has responded to this obit. http://notices.irishtimes.com/death/plunkett-john/3129681?s_... If you are a member of the Coleman family, we do have a facebook page with a lot of relatives.
