Searching for my Conry Line.
My Gt Gt Grandmother was Margaret Conry born abt 1837, I am unsure as to her
place of birth. Margaret married Patrick Murray prior to 1880 and lived in
Dunmore Town, Co.Galway where they ran a lodging house. They had one son
John Murray born in 1880, Margaret would have been 43 when he was born. I
cannot find a civil Marriage registarion for Margaret Conry and Patrick
Murray, and the Galway Family history centre could not find any parish
marriage details in the vicinty of WestGalway. As Dunmore is close to the
Mayo and Roscommon border and the name is fairly common in Roscommon, it might be likely thay
they married in a Roscommon Parish.
Anyone with information on a Conry/Murray marriage I would love to hear from
