Good sightseeing info, Annette. Thx. We will be going from SE Donegal to Sligo and Mayo, then to Monaghan, then back to Dublin. I have been to NewGrange, but my cousin has not, so we will go there on the return to Dublin airport.

We also have living cousins in Donegal. Took two years to find and connect, starting from zero knowledge about our Farrells up there to now meeting with descendants who have lived there all their lives and know everyone! And because of that connection, the reverend at the C of I has volunteered our access to the original church registers!

To that possible end, I have written the two priests associated with the RC churches in Donaghmoyne and merely asked if those would possibly be the churches that our people attended (and who were married and had children baptized). I also asked if it would be too audacious a request to be allowed a peek through the register at dates 1845-1853. I included a snip of the NLI info that indicated they did not have recorded fro those dates. Hope the priests will reply. I worded it so that they'd be clear I was not looking for genealogy services, but simply asking yes/no questions.

Annette, I have only been to Vancouver and Victoria in your part of the world, but they are places we return to often. I feel very "at home" when there.
