Matthew was from Killaloe, Co. Clare. Mother was Honora Cooney
Mary might have been from the Castleblayney area of Co. Monaghan.

Mary and Matthew had only one child, John Matthew Gannon, born in Williamsburg Brooklyn in 1864. Gannon descendants in the US are Ryan, Flemming and Galderisi only.
