As far as I can figure my kin, Michael HASTINGS/HESTON/HESTIN married Bridget STEWART/STUART Sep. 8, 1826 in Westport, County Mayo, Ireland. They emigrated by 1849 to Liverpool where one of their children was born (Margaret) and then Bridget and most of the children then left for Liverpool to New Orleans in 1855. Her husband and possibly two of the children, Peter and Thomas must have left before. They traveled up the Mississippi and then the Missouri settling in Lexington, Lafayette County, Missouri where the men worked the Coal fields.
