Here's something to confuse your search - An ancester of mine took a boy named Andrew Mclaughlin from an"orphan train" from New York. Andrew is in the 1880 Iowa census as "15 yr. old waif from New York". I think he ended up in a nursing home in Chicago many years later.Probably hundreds of Anrew McLaughlins.
