Classification: Query
Surnames: McKenna, Conaghy, Conochy, Conoughy or any other variant
My great great grandfather was Peter McKenna. At some point most probably in the 1850's, Peter married Anne Conachy( surname spelled in many different ways). Because of the spellings of Anne's surname, I've never been able to find a marriage record for them.
What I do know is that the family settled in Drogheda(Ropewalk) and they worshipped at St. Peter's Catholic Church. Years ago I received a list of the McKenna family from the Louth County Library. The list included the names of my great grandfather, John McKenna and his siblings giving the dates of baptism for each.My great grandfather John was baptized in 1864. His siblings included Mary(1858), Ann(1860)James(1862) Bridget(1867) Joseph(1869) Jane(1871),Jane(1872) and Alice.

My great grandfather emigrated to Holyoke, Massachusetts. His sister Alice emigrated to New Bedford, MA. Another sister Mary also emigrated to Holyoke. I believe that Ann emigrated to Lowell, MA and married Peter Curley.

I'm now interested in all of the other siblings; James, Bridget, Joseph, Jane and Jane not to mention his parents, Peter and Anne, none of whom appear in the 1901 census. They either died or emigrated but so far I've not found them.

Does anyone know what resources might be available to County Louth researchers to help me to determine the fate of these McKenna family members? Is there anyone on this list who actually resides in County Louth who may have access to the cemetery for St. Peter's Catholic Church ?
