Interested in John Brown, son of Rev. Solomon Brown of Castledawson; Presbyterian. Dr Brown a notable figure in Victorian Dundalk; a founder of the Public Library and a small free hospital. His sister Anne married a distiller called Allen, of Retreat House. Their son was a painter, listed as one of the Irish Impressionists; one of his pictures is in the Irish National Gallery
