A friend of mine is trying to trace her roots. She was born in Dromahair but no father is listed on her birth certificate. She has been told that she was placed in a convent for the first few years of her life before her mother returned to collect her.
She has no information on which convent it was or where, although she thought maybe Sligo.
Does anyone have any advice on where to start our search?
