Hello Mr S Joentz. Your query caught my eye, seeing R J Goff in the text. My grandfather James Brennan born in Newbridge in 1845 became assistant to Goff when he ws only l4 ys old. After death of Goff he became manager & Auctioneer to Goffs & to the Turf Club. There are many articles on the Brennan family in the Kildare newspapers. James Junior (my late father) followed in these posts. I found a photo of Goff in a sporting magazine., I would like to find a photo of Piercetown House (Goff's residence) which was almost opposite the Brennan's house, if you should know of one please will you let me know.
I was interested in Goff because it conects so closely with the Brennans. Mrs Goff & daughtera moved to England, a son died there after war service.
I have read about Moses Taylor & his neice, details are from Wills & obituaies.
from Mrs B Ward in Cambridgeshire, England.
