I'm trying to locate any information on the Walsh's/Egan's from Lisdowney Parish.
My GG Uncle Martin James Walsh wrote down information on where his family had immigrated from in Ireland.
"Father lived for years about 1 mile from Lisdowney where we all had to attend mass on Sundays. It was about 4 miles to Johnstown, 2 miles from Freshford and 3 miles from Balaragit."
"Should you ever visit Ireland you make application to the parish priest who lives Lisdowney and get the baptismal record if it is still extant. There you will find the names of all of the family from which you can get the ages. "
The Walsh family arrived in New York City 1 May 1849 on the Bark AbbeyLand.
The settled in Buffalo, Marquette,Wisconsin, then Montello, Marquette, Wisconsin
