Hi: Bartholomew is my wife's GG grandfather. We believe from an old book of his that he was from Tooreennamult, Kilcummin, County Kerry. His wife was Nora (Honora probably) O'Brien and she was from Ireland as the older children were born in Ireland. We think they came to Tyendinaga Township in Hastings County, Ontario about 1845 as they lost an baby infant girl born March 27 1846 and Baptized the 19 and died March 30. This is our first written evidence of their arrival in Canada. We went to Toorennamult probably 20 years ago and met a Vincent Cronin on a small farm there but couldn't really tie the families together. There was another Cronin farm nearby but they were not home at the time. Be glad to share what we have.

PS- Have just been looking at the "IReland, Index to Griffith's Valuation, 1848-1864" at Ancestry.com and the two Cronin's in Tooreennamult are Cornelius and Michael. Bartley's eldest son is named Michael, my wife's G grandfather.
