Hello to all.
I just came across these posts and would like to contribute a little more. I am from the US and researching my husband's Spillane family. As such, we are also interested in Mary Fitzgerald who was Richard Sullivan's mother. We know there is a connection between the Fitzgeralds of Tahilla and Gortagowan, and the Spillane's of Templenoe. I am told by family members that Mick Rich was best man at Pat Spillane's wedding. Pat was the grandfather of Pat Spillane, the famous Irish football star and sportscaster. In addition, there appears to be a connection to Dick Fitzgerald, the famous footballer who died in 1930. (Fitzgerald stadium is named after him.) The exact connection appears to exist in the Fitzgerald's of the 1790's and early 1800's, but of course, the records are scarce for that period.
If there is any knowledge of the siblings of Bridget Sullivan (1862) and Edward Sullivan (1864), or more about Mary Fitzgerald, that would be much appreciated.
