again, thank you so much. I am in Los Angeles, so my access is limited. It has all been through online sites, meeting new people, some related, and the sharing of info, the boards, etc. I am close to a Morman Temple - a main one - and I am going to check w/ them today to see if their genealogy center houses more than what you can access online.
My Kerry Guerin and Heffernan side of the tree is nicely fleshed out thanks to 2nd cousins there and irishgenealogy.ie - I's so lucky they decided to transfer Kerry records first w/ Dubliln.
But now, tracking Con and Lizzie in Galway and Waterford is really difficult. Sketchy info from the LDS sites. I might have a church for Elizabeth Mitchell's baptism in Galway, 21 Sep 1862 ST NICHOLAS COMBINED N & E. I'm following a Maria Mannion ~ Patrick Mitchell speculation, as there are children from 1862 - 1880, and I found a Mary and a Patrick in their brood. These 2 Mitchells escorted my 10 year old Grandmother, Mary Josephine Guerin, to the U.S. in 1894. My grandmother, Mary Josephine Guerin was born in Caltra 14 May 1884, RC, with the parish listed as "Caltra". Elizabeth and Cornelius were married 21 Jul 1883, RC, at the parish/district "Caltra". Other people listed on the civil and parish documents are Mitchells - Sarah, Thomas, Maria, Cecilia. and a Michael Collins.
What I am trying to determine is our Mitchell side. We know nothing other than Elizabeth Mitchell - no knowledge if she had siblings, etc. And, its speculated that Con is not Mary Josephines biological father (what was Lizzie up to?)...so I have a huge puzzel on this Mitchell end.
Do you know of any other online sites for Galway & Waterford (I want Waterford, as Lizzie lost a lot of children by the 1900 census in the US).
Sorry to ramble...thanks again so much. Kate
