My ggrandfather's name was Patrick Taaffe, born somewhere in Ireland in March 1844. I do not know who his parents were or his siblings. He immigrated to the U.S. in 1871 and married in St. Louis in 1874. His sons' names were John, Mathew, Frank and Joseph. Maybe one of these was Patrick's father's name???? All of this I have found in census and Catholic church records in St. Louis. How can I find Church records or birth records in Ireland? Do you know? You can contact me at abusalac@mail.win.org
