I'm wondering if anyone can help me. I've discovered that there's some mystery behind my Irish roots. I know that the surname Tod (Todd) came from Scotland under the Clans Gordon and McTavish. I also know that some of them moved from Scotland to Ireland and we are Irish by default, which means we were disinharited, disowned. From there. we went to England and to America. The question that's been nagging me is: can someone please tell me what happened in Ireland to cause the Todds to become disownedand disinhareted. My 4th great grandparents, William and Catherine Todd came from England, that's as far back that I'm able to go. Your help will be greatly appreciated.
